Number of Tourists Visiting Macau Exploded in March 2024: China and Hong Kong Lead the Way
In March 2024, tourist arrivals in Macau reached 2.72 million people, up 39% year-on-year. The huge increases in the number of visitors from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan and the situation of international visitors are analyzed in detail.

The number of visitors from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan in particular increased significantly. The number of visitors from mainland China increased by 94.3% to 6.29 million, while those from Hong Kong rose by 21% to 1.8 million and those from Taiwan by a record 168% to 182,000.
Increase in Daily and Overnight Visitors
